Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH resumes today (12th November, 2018) for freshers i.e newly admitted students for the 2018/2019 academic session. Exercises to be carried out by these newly admitted students include:
- Payment of acceptance fee (for those who haven’t already done so)
- Payment of school fee (for those who haven’t already done so)
- CVC Clearance
- Departmental Registrations
- Faculty Registrations
- Commencement of Lectures

What is CVC Clearance?
This is a physical screening carried out by designated officers from various departments and faculties. This second screening confirms your qualification for the department you were admitted into. You will be required to present a few documents which will be thoroughly checked by the screening officer and you can either be screened qualified for your department or disqualified and recommended for another department that suits your qualifications.
Screening / CVC Clearance Requirements
1) O’Level Result:
Your WAEC or NECO or NABTEB result or a combination of any two of them where you made the minimum 5 credit passes on subjects relevant to your field of study.
2) JAMB Admission Letter:
This will be printed from the JAMB website after you have been successfully admitted on CAPS.
3) Attestation Letter:
This is a short letter written by any of your parents or guardians or any other person in a recognizable position of authority who knows you well enough (e.g. Pastor, Traditional ruler, any office holder etc.). The letter addressed to the registrar of the university should simply attest that you will be of good behaviour and abide by the University rules and regulations.
4) CRUTECH Admission Letter:
This will be printed from the university portal after you have paid your acceptance fee.
5) JAMB Result Slip:
The online result slip printed out from JAMB website.
6) Screening Result Slip:
A printout of your CRUTECH Application Screening result slip.
7) Birth Certificate:
Your birth certificate or baptismal card or age declaration document obtained from a Court of Law.
8) Local Government Identification Letter:
This is a document you will get from the secretariat of your local government of origin confirming your nativity. To get this, you may need an introduction/ confirmation letter from the traditional ruler of your community or any other respected individual from your town.
8) School Fee Receipt:
